This wine is made up of 60% Sangiovese, 25% Merlot, and 15% Sagrantino. The nose resembles bramble berries, graphite, dark herbs, and leaves. Medium body with slightly drying tannins. Food pairings could include hearty vegetables, grilled meats, and red sauces.
The 2021 Montefalco Rosso opens with a sweetly scented bouquet of dusty roses, violets and wild strawberries. It's silky-smooth with a balancing bitter tinge and ripe red and blue fruits swirling throughout. This finishes fresh and lightly structure, leaving hints of citrus and sour cherry to fade slowly. - Eric Guido
